Eastern Oregon Film Festival Sneak Peak

Want a sneak peak at what this year’s Film Fest has on deck? Plan to attend the Sneak Peak fundraiser at Stage Door Theater on Jan. 16 from 6-8 p.m. You’ll be one of the first to see this year’s film line-up, bid on auction items, and secure a Festival pass days before they go on sale to the general public. Music programs for kids from Miss Joanne

Joanne’s Music Studio is offering two music programs for youngsters. ABC Music and Me: Laugh & Lear is a music and movement program for 2-4 year olds. Annual award nominations now open

Nominations for the Union County Chamber of Commerce annual awards are being accepted through Feb. 7, 2013 for Business of the Year, Man of the Year, Woman of the Year, and Educator of the Year. Nomination forms are available on the Chamber’s web site and can be submitted electronically.
The annual banquet will be held on Fri., Feb. 22, 2013 at Blue Mountain Conference Center. Tickets and sponsorships may be reserved at any time by contacting the Chamber at 541.963.8588.

ArtsEast to administer Fishtrap program

ArtsEast has assumed the administration of Fishtrap, Inc.’s Writers-in-Residence program, which serves schools in Eastern Oregon. ArtsEast will provide residencies to schools in Union County. For more information, contact ArtsEast.

Local food featured at Jan. Pub Talk

On Wed., Jan. 23, you will have the chance to hear from a panel of local food experts about opportunities and challenges in producing, buying and selling local food.
